A stitch loose?: A playful conversation about mental health and quality of life

Loose a stitch? is a stubborn game that opens up the stigma surrounding (mental) vulnerability in a creative, constructive and positive way and increases resilience .

Targets

  • Awareness and understanding about mental well-being, stigma and prejudice.
  • Getting to know yourself and others by sharing experiences.
  • Creating more openness and depth in a group.

Game description

The game can be built up dynamically with different game boards. Each game board has a color and each color has a theme. You can use all game boards at once, as well as make a choice for one or a few themes:

  • health
  • leisure
  • help
  • home
  • social contacts
  • relationship
  • study and profession
  • meaning

With the dice you land on a sign and that sign determines from which pile you can take a card. There are question cards, cards with statements, with a photo, an assignment...

There are all kinds of methods available, so that you can easily adapt the game to the size of the group and the situation. For example, in groups that do not know each other well, it may be necessary to guarantee more security to initiate the conversation. For participants who prefer to work with little stimulation, the back of the game board can be used.

There are also twenty-six additional expansion sets available that can be added to this game (such as AD(H)D, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Transgender, Self-Control, Addiction, Depression...). The expansion sets of 110 cards each can also be used separately from the board game, for example as a card game or conversation starter.
