MATRIX: Center for new music
With a collection of thousands of scores, audio recordings, books and magazines, MATRIX manages one of the most important documentation centers on new music (music after 1950) in Europe.
In addition, MATRIX also keeps a finger on the pulse of new music with publications on relevant themes or interesting composers. In doing so, they interpret the term 'publication' very broadly: from the publication of books, over e-publications and complete websites to the brand new collections of scores, specifically aimed at part-time art education (dko). You can also browse the many composer files and you will also find a link to their material on MATRIX for each composer.
MATRIX also develops activities for anyone curious about new music. From workshops for children to summer internships for young musicians to blogs or exhibitions for the added value seeker.
