Python in math class
When introducing a new topic in mathematics lessons, as a teacher you want students to understand what is going on. By letting them do their own calculations using comprehensible examples, they gain insight into the new concepts.
However, once they have mastered them, you can shift the focus of the lessons to problem solving. Do they recognize a pattern in the exercises and could certain things be automated? Do they see that a new assignment has similarities with a previously solved problem? By automating certain aspects of the types of problems, time can be freed up that can then be used to tackle more problems.
On this Dwengo site you will find learning paths that help students familiarize themselves with science, mathematics and technology.
